Yango Ride embeds ride-hailing directly into ChatGPT across 25 countries

Yango Ride has launched an official integration within ChatGPT that allows users to plan routes, compare fares, and proceed to booking without leaving an AI conversation — a move that puts the ride-hailing service from Yango Group inside one of the world’s most widely used AI interfaces and signals a broader shift in how mobility platforms are thinking about user access.

The integration is live across more than 25 countries where Yango operates, spanning the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Users can view exact pricing for a selected route, compare travel times across alternative options, check estimated arrival times for both the trip and the vehicle, and identify optimal pickup points to reduce waiting time. When ready to book, the fare estimate transfers directly to the Yango app or its web version, where the transaction is completed.

The launch arrives at a moment of measurable change in how people move around Dubai. Data from the Roads and Transport Authority shows that shared services, including on-demand ride-hailing, grew from 7.5 per cent to 9 per cent of the city’s total transport usage between 2024 and 2025 — a shift that reflects both increasing urban mobility demand and a population that is increasingly comfortable managing daily logistics through digital interfaces. The UAE’s National AI Strategy 2031, which frames AI adoption as a pillar of national competitiveness, provides additional political context for a product launch that sits squarely at the intersection of conversational AI and smart urban mobility.

The logic of the integration is straightforward: frequent travellers, tourists, and business users already use ChatGPT to manage information and plan their days. Forcing a separate app switch to book a ride introduces unnecessary friction. By embedding fare estimation and routing into the conversation itself, Yango Ride is positioning its service as part of a user’s daily workflow rather than a destination requiring deliberate navigation. The integration runs on live traffic data and smart routing technology, with estimates updated dynamically as road conditions change.

Yango Group has indicated that the ChatGPT integration is the first step in a broader platform expansion. The company plans to extend its presence within ChatGPT to cover services beyond ride-hailing, including delivery, public transport options, and food delivery — a trajectory that would make the AI interface a single point of access for a suite of urban mobility and logistics services.

The Yango Ride integration is available through the ChatGPT web interface and via mobile apps on Android and iOS.
