Multipolitan, a global mobility technology company incorporated in ADGM, has raised $2 million (AED 7.35 million) in a pre-seed round at a pre-money valuation of $25 million (AED 91.81 million). EmergentX, a global venture studio, accelerator and incubator, led the round. The capital will go towards launching the Multipolitan App in December 2026 and growing the company’s Private Client business, which has generated more than US$4 million (AED 14.69 million) in net revenue in under two years.
“This investment will help us bring together specialist mobility expertise and technology,” said Nirbhay Handa, who co-founded the company with Lee Smith in 2024. Handa was previously Group Head of Business Development at Henley & Partners. Smith co-founded Paidy, the Japanese fintech company PayPal acquired for US$2.7 billion (AED 9.92 billion).
“Multipolitan removes the friction of travelling to, or living in, other countries,” said Smith. The app has three sections. Live stores passports, visas, residence information and family documents, and sends reminders before deadlines. Travel shows visa and entry requirements, helps with preparation before a trip, and gives real-time flight updates on schedule changes, terminals and gates. Stay tracks how long users have spent abroad and how much of their stay allowance is left, with planned calculations for rules such as Schengen.

All three sections run on technology the company built itself. INREX is an immigration intelligence engine, FlightIQ is a real-time travel intelligence platform, and Visa Connect is an AI-powered travel visa engine. Multipolitan’s advisory work for high-net-worth and affluent clients also supplies the research and customer insight that guide how the platform is developed.
“Add a family with multiple passports and visas, and it quickly becomes overwhelming,” Smith said. Until now, Multipolitan has sold that kind of help through a private service. The December launch will test whether the same help can be sold as a consumer product. So far, all of the company’s revenue has come from the service business.
“As more individuals, entrepreneurs and families build their lives across borders, the need for simpler, more connected mobility solutions continues to grow,” said Handa. The company cites figures showing more than 1.5 billion international trips each year, over 300 million people living outside their country of birth, and an estimated 40 million people who identify as digital nomads.
Multipolitan has more than 40 employees across Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Bengaluru, eight of them in the UAE, and plans to expand to Kuala Lumpur and Manila. It has offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and holds a Tech Innovator Licence endorsement at ADGM, which gives it a presence in Abu Dhabi’s technology and entrepreneurship community.
Abu Dhabi wants to strengthen its position as a global centre for technology, entrepreneurship and innovation, as part of a wider plan to diversify its economy. The emirate’s Economic Vision 2030 makes a globally integrated, knowledge-based economy a priority. Its Government Digital Strategy 2025 to 2027 has AED 13 billion behind it to speed up AI adoption, build digital infrastructure and make services simpler for residents and businesses. “Abu Dhabi’s focus on technology, innovation and international connectivity makes it an important base for our global growth ambitions,” Handa said.
