Presight Backs NodeShift With Strategic Investment and Partnership to Scale Sovereign AI Infrastructure Globally
Abu Dhabi-based applied AI company Presight has partnered with sovereign AI platform NodeShift and made a significant investment through the Presight-Shorooq Fund I, as governments and regulated enterprises increase demand for AI infrastructure that keeps sensitive data within national or organisational boundaries.
NodeShift earned the partnership and investment by completing Presight's inaugural AI Accelerator Cohort I, a six-month evaluation covering technology readiness, data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, enterprise scalability, and market fit. The structured process, which focused on identifying viable sovereign AI technologies rather than just promising ones, led to a $100 million funding commitment from the Presight-Shorooq Fund I, a vehicle targeting the next generation of AI innovation.
The commercial logic is direct. Presight brings years of government relationships, enterprise access, and applied AI expertise; NodeShift provides compliant, on-premises, or air-gapped infrastructure when a cloud option is not available. To’t an option. Together, the companies are targeting deployments in sectors where data sovereignty is not a preference but a regulatory requirement.
Magzhan Kenesbai, Chief Growth Officer at Presight, said the selection validated the accelerator's commercial intent from the outset. "This partnership and investment underscore the tangible value our accelerator is already delivering, identifying high-potential AI technology and scaling it through real commercial engagement," he said. "NodeShift exemplifies what we set out to achieve: accelerating breakthrough sovereign AI technologies and creating meaningful, long-term growth opportunities for all parties."
That framing is already translating into measurable traction. NodeShift is delivering a proof of concept with the Central Bank of the UAE, which reflects institutional confidence in the platform's security and compliance. The company is concurrently in active discussions with additional Presight customers, extending the platform's reach into further mission-critical environments.
NodeShift is a governed interface that lets organisations access leading open-source and commercial AI models without data leaving their infrastructure. The platform delivers AI assistants, document intelligence, and collaboration tools in Arabic and English, with built-in policy enforcement and enterprise integrations designed for environments where auditability is as important as capability.
Mihai Marcuta, Co-Founder and COO of NodeShift, said the investment and Presight's network fundamentally altered the company's growth trajectory. "Presight's global reach, sector expertise, and credibility across public and private sectors significantly strengthen our ability to scale, while enabling us to continue delivering AI solutions that meet the highest standards of security and compliance," he said.
Presight is an ADX-listed company majority-owned by Abu Dhabi-based G42, operating across infrastructure, capital and societal systems. The partnership arrives as the sovereign AI market matures from a niche compliance consideration into a strategic priority for governments and critical infrastructure operators worldwide, with combined infrastructure investment and coordinated market execution increasingly viewed as the condition required for scaled deployment.
