Inception42 launches Insight for AI-ready boardrooms

The G42 company's meeting software, launched at AI Everything Abu Dhabi, supports boards from agenda to action list. It runs in English and Arabic on infrastructure the organisation controls.

Inception42, the G42 company that builds AI products for governments and businesses, has released Insight. The software helps boards and executive teams prepare for meetings, run them and turn decisions into action. It was first used in executive meetings at government bodies and enterprises. With its launch at AI Everything Abu Dhabi, it is now open to a much wider range of organisations, as a subscription service or on private cloud, in English and Arabic, across web, mobile, desktop and voice.

"Insight was shaped inside some of the most demanding boardrooms in the UAE, and it has proven its value where the stakes are the highest," said Ashish Koshy, CEO of Inception42. "With today's launch, we are opening that capability to every organisation that takes its decisions seriously."

Directors are ready for AI in the boardroom

Insight comes as directors around the world turn to AI for their board work. In OnBoard's 2026 Board Effectiveness Survey of 531 governance professionals, 92% of directors said they had used AI for board work in the previous six months, up from 69% a year earlier. Their main uses were summarising board books (54%), writing and tidying minutes (53%) and drafting agendas (49%). Insight brings all three tasks into one system.

The same survey shows that clear structure makes a difference. Boards with enforced AI policies rated their own effectiveness at 88%, against 55% for boards without one. Only 6% of boards have such policies in place. Software built for boards, with access controls and safeguards included from the start, gives organisations a straightforward way to set those rules.

Boards want sharper, timelier information

Directors are clear about what would help them most. In Board Intelligence's Board Value Index for the Middle East, published in December 2025, 41% of directors named the quality of information as the biggest barrier to decision-making. 38% said their boards now prioritise forward-looking conversations. Diligent Institute's What Directors Think 2026 report surveyed more than 200 public company directors and found that 53% would benefit from more real-time data between meetings.

Inception42 said that the routine around board meetings has barely changed, even though that is where organisations make their largest decisions. Insight is designed to give directors better information, at the moment they need it, throughout the meeting cycle.

Insight follows the meeting from agenda to action list

Before a meeting, Insight summarises board papers, helps build the agenda and lets leaders test how a decision might play out. During the meeting, members get live information, a chat function they can question and built-in voting, so everyone works from the same set of facts. Afterwards, it records decisions, drafts minutes and lists action items with a clear owner for each.

Every meeting adds to a store of company knowledge that later meetings can draw on. Inception42 said this gives an organisation a lasting record of what it decided and why. That record is especially useful for groups with many committees and subsidiaries, or boards whose membership changes over time.

Government experience shaped the product

Insight builds on Inception42's work with government. The company began as a research institute within G42 and became Inception42 in June 2026, when it turned to putting AI products to work for governments and businesses. Its Catalyst platform, which builds software that carries out multi-step tasks, works with Microsoft 365 Copilot. The company aims to automate 50% of UAE federal government operations within two years.

"We're doing real-life deployment, and at scale, on a clock," Koshy told AGBI in July. Board software from established providers such as Diligent has also added AI tools for drafting board books and writing minutes. This shows strong demand for the category. Inception42 adds Arabic support, sovereign hosting and a record in government meetings.

Organisations keep full control of their data

Insight can run on sovereign cloud infrastructure and connects to the office suites and productivity software organisations already use. Every request for access is checked, people see only what their role allows, and safeguards govern how the AI handles company data. Organisations with specific requirements on where their data sits, or how it connects to other systems, can run Insight on a private cloud or in a dedicated environment.

The subscription version is quick to set up and simple to expand. An organisation can start with one board or committee and grow to cover subsidiaries, other committees and leadership groups.

"Boards and executive teams carry the weight of an organisation's most consequential choices, and they deserve intelligence equal to that responsibility, on infrastructure they can trust," Koshy said. "Insight makes that happen."
