Desktop AI compute reaches 20 PFLOPS as GIGABYTE targets regulated data workloads
GIGABYTE Technology is showing its full NVIDIA-powered AI infrastructure portfolio at GISEC Global 2026 in Dubai, led by the AI TOP ATOM, a compact personal AI supercomputer built on the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip that delivers 1 PFLOPS of FP4 performance for local model development, fine-tuning and data science.
Alongside it is the W775-V10, a deskside AI workstation running the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip, rated at up to 20 PFLOPS of FP4 performance with 748GB of coherent memory and support for up to 400 concurrent requests. Both systems are positioned for organisations handling regulated data and proprietary models that cannot be moved off-site.
The commercial argument behind the portfolio is access. Training and fine-tuning have concentrated in hyperscale environments, which has priced out smaller engineering teams and left them queuing for shared cluster time.
"AI development has traditionally required significant cloud investment or shared clusters, putting smaller teams at a disadvantage," said Jay Lee, GM META at Giga Computing. "This gives teams the ability to develop and test locally, then scale to the data centre or cloud when ready."
The AI TOP ATOM is plug-and-play, offers 1TB to 4TB of storage and supports four-node clustering for up to 512GB of unified memory over USB-C connections. That specification matters less as a hardware detail than as a threshold: a small development team can now prototype on hardware sitting under a desk and promote the same workload to a data centre or cloud environment when it is ready to run at scale.
It also answers a governance question that has slowed enterprise AI adoption worldwide. Healthcare providers, banks and public sector bodies in Europe, Asia and the Gulf have all run into the same constraint, which is that the data most valuable for fine-tuning is the data least permitted to leave the building. Keeping development local removes that obstacle before procurement has to negotiate around it.
